Born Dixie Ann Tronrud in 1959 on a ranch in Montana the youngest of a brother & sister pair Dixie has always loved music right from the get go as they say.A talented Soprano in her youth singing with the Montana State Choir and moonlighting with her dad;s Country band at weekends saw Dixie involved with music from a very early age.When she got her stage legs she soon had her own band to play with being a proficient drummer, keyboardist,steel guitar & acoustic guitar player as well as a great country singer to boot they were in demand every week at one function or another.At one stage she was asked to sign up with Maranatha the Christian Production Company but declined for family reasons and thats how it stayed for 20 years or so performing and leading worship at local Churches kept her involved with music yet all the while she continued her writing.Then at the age of 45 she teamed up with husband and songwriter Derek McCorkell from N/Ireland and her music and her found a new lease of life the rest is history and not a day goes by that a new song or song idea isnt birthed .
